life is like a mountain, but is more of the sea.

Now.. U may wonder why and where I got this stupid thought and does the heading even make sense. Well, considering that not all things in this world make sense it may still pass the thought process.

Starting from the very recent times, the past few days were as rejuvenating as any. It was a feeling that came in inspite of the fact that there simply might not be any jobs. But then, could I simply sit sulking the whole day and not be happy? I reckon not. The joy of gifting something, the joy of meeting someone. These are the pleasures of life that most of us miss. The joy that we tend to neglect and undermine in search of the scores of worldly pleasures. When one climbs a mountain, one tends to feel better and better. Its a long winding road and no one knows what lies ahead. The climb up the hill is always difficult. And so is the case when it comes to life. Why should we not relax and take a breath. When it comes to life, it seems there is no time for breath and that the climb has to be continuous. The times when you take a day's break and do nothing, life seems to seem to beautiful, so calm, so peaceful (No doubt weekends were thought of) Else, the human greed would have led to his own fall. The journey as any is unpredictable and full of turbulences and turmoils. Compare it with the sea or the mountain, it comes to the very same coclusion. Life is uncharted. It is undecided. However much we may plan, unless it has the blessings of the unseen force, there is nothing that can make it happen. Be it the biggest of the projects undertaken or the smallest of the gestures that we do, all are governed and meant to happen. Why are the boulders on a mountain poised as if they would fall off the next moment, but never do. Why are the trees hanging so precariously from the mountain sides? The answer lies in the fact that they are meant to be here. The answer lies in understanding that they are here for a purpose and that they combat this situation for a reason.

When I see the Arabian Sea at Juhu Beach, it gives me a feeling of being small and insignificant. Its a great place to go if one wants to know that his being something big actually is nothing in front of the greatness in this world and nothing in front of the forces of nature. We may have tamed the animals, and tweaked the sources of nature to our benifit, but we would never be able to tame the nature. The day human kind attempts to do it, nature would strike back. From the earthquakes to the tsunamis its just the force's way of saying that remember I exist. The ocean so vast and so mighty makes me feel more humble. As I stand on the beach, I feel nothing more than a speck. Trying to conquer the seas is just not a joke. The sea any its vagaries have wrecked many a lives. It has been a warrior battling the brave and simply gulping down the meek. Life is something very very similar, it is something that we enjoy on one instance and on the next we fight to stay alive. Ruthless - a word that can go for the seas as well as for the life that we live. Exist of exit was something that one of our profs said the other day, Darwin had said it years ago.

However, this is what makes life, sailing and mountaineering equally challenging. Its something that one has to live upto to enjoy the real essence of it. All said and done... its a struggle that each and everyone has to go through, some find it fun and make the most of it learning all along while the rest crib and cry and stay where they are.

Words of wisdom from baba eh..... ? Do i really need to do finance? It pays meagre anyway. :P
